British Commonwealth - Sets and Singles on pages and a GB Collection. Great Britain and Commonwealth lot in three binders. The first part consists of an extensive mostly mint selection of hundreds of neatly organized and laid out Commonwealth country/colony sets and singles with particular strength in Australia, New Zealand and Grenada but with very decent representation of dozens of other countries from all areas of the globe. Also of note is a two volume Stanley Gibbons GB album containing hundreds of mint and used stamps, 1841 to 1984 period issues. The GB collection is a bit sparse in the earlier material but still contains a good number of $100.00+ catalogue value singles. The modern section is much more comprehensive and consists of almost all mint sets. Significant total catalogue value and a rewarding range of British Colonial material to boot! Estimate =

British Commonwealth - Two volume colonies collection, mostly QV to GeoV on decades old quadrilled album pages. Hundreds of stamps, including a mix of mint and used, with some medium to higher denominations and individual stamps with catalogue values up to $100.00. Typically, there are 1-3 pages for a country (as they hadn’t issued many stamps to that point). Some different printings identified and lovely cancels everywhere, with some minor duplication. We noted Antigua, Bechuanaland, Bahamas, Barbados, Ceylon, Cyprus, Gold Coast, Ireland, Jamaica, Malta, Mauritius, Natal, some very attractive Australian states, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Straits Settlements, and more! No Canada GB Australia New Zealand or India. Note: as with many of these old-time holdings, identification and condition can be mixed, so use a critical eye. Estimate =

British Guiana #17/299. Great collection for the specialist, with strength in Queen Victoria era issues. Great range of "Seal of the Colony", but keep a critical eye as a few of the items are obvious forgeries (which we haven’t counted). There are revaluations, officials overprinted and "Specimen" perforated stamps repurposed for usage. The KGV, KGVI and early QEII issues are more used than mint, but often include used examples of the higher values. Bit of duplication, and a small page of cards and glassines which are not counted in the owner’s catalogue value. 2023 Scott US$2259.00 =
