144
Canada - Four mint-sheet files filled with large blocks and complete panes of mostly 4c-6c era issues. The best includes complete sheets of the 1970 5c and 6c Christmas regular issue (the sheet was folded off centre, so the centre blocks do not have the usual folding. Unfortunately, some of the other panes have moisture issues, especially the KGVI issues including a pane of 17c CE3 which is stuck in half to itself. We have tried to not count any of the sheets that are stuck, leaving in the total count of usable face value / postage. Total face value = $288.50

Canada #4/2201a. A collector's batch of better mint and used Canadian material, neatly arranged on dealer cards and clear dealer sleeves. Starting with a 3-margin example of #4 (imperforate Beaver), followed by a good looking (but forged / re-backed) #8, into "Cents", "Large Queens", "Small Queens", "Edwards" and onwards, almost all pre-WWII with the exception of #2201 VF mint Never Hinged Lunar New Years "missing gold" year of the Pig. The earlier material is in mixed condition, with several small faults / regummed noted, but then moves into much cleaner material by the 1930's. A total of 109 stamps. Estimate =

Canada #34 Cover. Choice single-franking example of the 1/2c black Small Queen on local circular rate cover, posted locally from Saint John NB on November 3rd 1897. A wonderful example of the single use of the 1/2c stamp, being a scarce dated example (as almost all these circular rates are undated, as Post Office regulations only required them to be cancelled only with a grid). An attractive addition to any postal history collection, or “plus-value” add-on to a traditional stamp collection. 2024 Unitrade =
