We note a fairly even mix of used and unused items, including several used from the Victorian era up to the 1950's. Postmark interest includes cds, duplex, machine, and perhaps a few others. All the mail is commercial in nature, mostly to Simpsons-Sears in Halifax, with the vast majority having 5c Cameo frankings. A nice lot for the Nova Scotia or Canada postmark collector. Estimate = $140.00 $36.00
Canada Covers - Postcards. Edward Goodall Postcard Accumulation. Attractive group of 63 seemingly all different cards from Goodall’s early pencil sketch views to the Watercolor view cards that he produced later in his career. All neatly arranged in a Uni-Safe padded postcard album. Goodall’s scenes feature largely buildings, homes and ships from Victoria and area, but also some Vancouver and parts of Alberta. Goodall opened a studio located at his house in Oak Bay (Victoria) in 1945 and worked on his pencil sketch images which he then had printed to fill orders for postcards sales. In the late 1950’s he changed his medium, switching to watercolor images rather than pencil sketches. A nice showing of this ever-popular BC artist. Estimate = $150.00 $22.00
Canada Covers - QEII Centennial Postal History. Interesting group of roughly 425 covers all franked with Centennial issues and Alberta town postmarks, 1969-1971. The lot is a correspondence to the Alberta Health Care Insurance Commission, noting various combinations of Centennial rates and frankings, including 1c uprated with non Centennial issues, solo Centennial frankings, combination Centennial frankings (1c to 10c stamps), coil usages, and more. The bonus of the lot is about 98% of the covers have Alberta town postmarks, mostly from Calgary and Edmonton, but did spot about 50 different towns including Warburg, Coronation, Vegreville, Caroline, Barrhead, and more, noting slogan, machine, cds, and a few others postmark types. A nice lot for the postmark or Centennial collector, as we have not checked for varieties, taggings, etc. A few faults with some of the covers as is the nature of commercial mail. Estimate = $150.00 $13.00
Canada Covers - Saskatchewan Postmarks. Accumulation of roughly 500 covers collected for Saskatchewan town postmarks, 1950's-2005, loose in a box. Postmark interest includes cds, duplex, POCON, machine, Pictorial, and perhaps a few others. The material appears to mostly be post-2000's, with some duplication for some towns, along with several corner advertising envelopes. A few faults as almost all the covers are #10 sized envelopes, still a nice lot for the Saskatchewan or Canada postmark collector. Estimate = $120.00 $10.00
Canada Covers - The behemoth BC Postmark Lot. A large box, absolutely stuffed with covers and cut-squares, all with BC Postmarks, arranged by the owner alphabetically. 310 Germany - Berlin #9N1/9N34. Both 1948 definitives with "Berlin" overprints in black and red, missing only three of the higher value black overprints. One of the great post-war issues, these can be difficult to find postally used. The 2mark with black overprint has a slightly rounded corner, the only visible fault in the group. The cancels all look good, but forgeries of these issues are known. 2024 Scott US$1158.60 = $1,564.10 $13.00
Germany - Berlin #9N35-9N102. 313 Germany - Berlin - Three complementing groups of used regular issues (and some good coverage of semi-postals in the more modern section). There is a group of 142 different used from 1948-1971, a page of 1949-1954 only results in a bit of duplication. The third section is a nearly complete run of regular and semi-postals from 1974-1983 on Lindner hingeless pages. Several hundred dollars of catalogue value here. Estimate = $150.00 $0.00
Germany - East Germany #144a/1364, B35a. Estimate = $140.00 $10.00
Great Britain #1. The famous 1840 issue Penny Black in a framed presentation alongside silver replica and Royal Mail scene, with signed (Ronald Richards) and numbered (#95-233) "Certificate of Authenticity and Genuineness", by Excelsior Collector's Guild Ltd. The Penny Black itself, used with red Maltese Cross cancel and margins on three sides (just in at right), otherwise a sound and certified example of the world's first postage stamp. All used, a few with attractive cancels, a couple dated, and the usual mixed condition. Individual stamps with catalogue values to $400.00 each. 2024 Scott US$1600.00 = $2,160.00 $0.00
Great Britain #127/150. Study Group. This collector was at the first stage of building a used King Edward VII collection with all the various printings and shades. This involved buying everything he could put his hands on, including random sets and singles (up to 5/-) as well as existing colour shade studies. They are all here and rather than break them up, we will let someone else carry on with this work. Conservate Scott catalogue value US$2000.00 = $2,700.00 $0.00
Great Britain #648/1888. Decimal-era mint, never hinged, commemorative and Christmas selection up to 1999. Includes many complete sets, se-tenant strips, but no souvenir sheets (and no Machins). A nice lot for the post card or first day cover collector, and an often overlooked and under appreciated area of philately. Duplication possible for some sets, overall fine to very fine. Estimate = $120.00 $10.00
Great Britain - Accumulation of never hinged stamps, 1980's-1990's, containing many hundreds of stamps in a few glassines and stockpages. The material was purchased through the philatelic services noting singles, sets, blocks, gutter blocks, and a few souvenir sheets, Machins (including Regionals), etc. The value is really in the face value postage as the stamps have a few wrinkles and slight odor due to improper storage, otherwise this would have catalogued several hundred of pounds. Face value totals £322.00 (noting 19p to £5 denominations, not counting the Machin values), and includes 60x 1ST issues. Still a good lot with a variety of purposes. Estimate = $200.00 $0.00
Great Britain - Accumulation of primarily never hinged Great Britain, 1950's-1990's, containing many hundred of stamps in a variety of formats. We note singles, sets, a few booklets, annual collections (from 1986, 1988), a few gutter sheets, a hinged collection on several album pages from the 1980s, and roughly 35 presentation packs from the 1970's to the 1980's. The second binder has over 1200 different used QV to 2010 issues (with a few early duplicates) including lots of George VI/QEII including the 1975 semi-postals, a nice example of the £10.00 "Britannia", a 1sh booklet, perfins, Machins, Regionals and finishing with 41 of the 1937 Coronation souvenir cinderalla stamps. Huge catalogue value. Estimate = $350.00 $10.00
Great Britain - Cacheted First Day Cover accumulation taking up half a banker’s box. Most are 1960's through to the 1990's, but with a bundle of 2007 issues (SG catalogue £105!), but we did see a couple of 1953 Coronation and a 2016 Birthday FDC. A wide range of issues, including a number of private cachets from the 1960's that have lots of potential, and then a hit or miss offering of British Post Office cachets, plus some PHQ cards cancelled as "maximum cards" and a bit of Jersey & Guernsey issues. Most addressed, a few of the early issues have their original contents. We didn’t notice much duplication. A few are faulty, but generally a very clean lot. Estimate = $150.00 $0.00
Great Britain - Collection builder or postage lot? A couple of album fragments (stamps are hinged), and a couple of stockpages (these are never hinged) plus a half dozen "Greeting" booklets, with no "Machins" in the group. We note a few better items with #s 251A, 275 (nh, $75 total), 286-289 (lh, $80 total), 292-308 (lh, $101 total), along with a few sets cataloging $10 and up each, with face value estimated to be in the £75 to £100 range. A nice starter collection with some better material within, a slight odor on the pages from storage, but does not appear to affect the stamps, overall fine to very fine. Estimate = $250.00 $10.00
Great Britain - GPO Presentation packs from the mid-1960's to 2006, plus four year-packs. The early packs such as the Parliament, Battle of Britain, PO Tower, etc. have substantial catalogue value in Stanley Gibbons (and have the usual age-induced warping of the shrink-wrap). There is a smattering of various issues over the years (a few don’t have their external sleeves), and some better Royal anniversary issues of the new Millennium. The year packs are for 1986, 1995, 1995 and 1998 (these are better than the year sets, as they have all the commemoratives issued in the year). Great for building a collection or fill in some spots. Estimate = $150.00 $10.00
Great Britain - Hingeless Lindner album duo. Includes the classic "1840-1951" edition (to the end of King George VI), plus a second volume of 1981-1985 in near-new condition. Each in a dark blue 18-ring binder with matching slip case (one could use some minor regluing. The first volume and the second binder with slip cases retail at over €200.00. All mint, never hinged, all different, in complete sets and some se-tenant strips, with two souvenir sheets. Huge value here bolstered by 143 "1st" rate stamps. Includes a couple of later purchases of QV-KEVII issues that the collector didn’t get around to processing. The 16-page stockbook has a basic group of Machins, sorted by denomination. Both stockbooks are red covered Lighthouse brand. Estimate = $180.00 $10.00

Iceland #71/137. A black page of 42 different used early 20th century issues (one with a revenue cancel), with lots of key values and most of the "Sigurdsson" set. As the "two kings" set is a bit light a complete set of #99-107 is included, which will result in a couple of duplicates. A nice, clean offering. Owner’s 2023 Scott US$677.00 = $913.95 $10.00

USA #658-668. Complete mint Hinged 1929 issue Kansas overprinted set of 11.
