Postmark Study. A lovely, and in depth collection of Mauritius town cancels, 1880's-1980's, containing many hundreds of stamps, on and off piece, and roughly 100 covers and a few postcards, in three volumes. The collection contains roughly 50 different towns, ranging from B to V, including Brisee Verdiere, Camp de Masque, Fressanges, Moka, Vacoas, and much more, with at least one stamp or cover representing each town. The collection also includes maps of various post offices, photos, cancel types and information for a few towns, and more. The lot also includes a photocopy version of "Mauritius, Postal History and Stamps" by Peter Ibbotson, with over 200 pages (including illustrations) showcasing this wonderful area of philately.
