Nice accumulation of a few thousands stamps collected for Canada town postmarks, 1890's-1970's. The lot contains material on and off piece from all the provinces and territories, all neatly organized into individual glassines with a rough breakdown of postmarks from each region: British Columbia (x1,153), Ontario (x186), Manitoba (x116), Territories (x68), Maritimes (x49), Saskatchewan (x42), Quebec (x37), Alberta (x30). The lot also includes a few hundred stamps in a few glassines marked as "unsorted" or for specific postmark types including RPO's (x40), along with proof strikes of Victoria, B.C. Sub #43 (first day of strike) on a facing slip (x20, originally retailing at $50 each), and proof strikes of Victoria-Marigold (last day of strike) on a facing slip (x6, originally retailing at $50 each). Postmarks encountered include cds, split ring, duplex, rpo, MOON, and a few other types, noting many 'socked on the nose' town cancels, including some smaller towns.
