Nice group of mint and used North Borneo, 1885-1897, containing roughly 90 stamps hinged onto a few album pages. The lot ranges from Scott #6/88, along with a page of postage due stamps. A spot check indicated some better stamps including #s 7 (mh, $185), 8 (mh, $120), 21 (mh, $325), along with material cataloguing $10 and up. A few faults with a few of the stamps, and will need careful handling as the stamps are hinged with older types. Note that reprints/forgeries do exist in this period (not just on expensive stamps), which will make for a nice study. A nice start to this popular collecting area. Estimate =
