Chile

Lovely collection of mint and used Chile, 1853-1984, containing just over 650 stamps in well organized Palo album pages housed in a binder. The lot generally ranges from Scott #1/677, containing singles, sets, partial sets, and a few souvenir sheets, beginning with 32 imperforate singles including better #s 1 (used, c.v. $125), 3-6 (used, $800 total), 11-13 (mh, $267.50), along with some duplication with #s 5, 8 (x4), 11 (x4), 12 (x2), 13 (x2), 14 (x3), and a few more. The collection continues with a good selection of mint and used 1867 issues (some cataloguing $10 to $40 and up), along with mint and used sets up to the 1980s. Owner's Scott catalogue value for the collection totals $4,311.70 (first 4 pages valued at $2,578 by the owner). A nice collection with several classic issues and ideal for all collectors. Online photos showing a sampling only, a few small faults with a few of the early stamps, overall fine to very fine. Estimate =
