Spain

Lovely collection of mint and used Spain, 1850-1999, containing over 1,600 stamps, neatly organized in two like new Scott Specialty albums with slipcases. This well constructed collection generally ranges from Scott #1/2979, containing singles, sets, partial sets, and some souvenir sheets. The collection begins with several classic issues, many cataloguing $5 to $10 and up including #s 1 (x4), 3 (possible reprint), 6 (x3), 9, 12 (x3), 13 (used, $130), 15 (used, ($100), 19, 25-26, 29, 36-37, 43-47, 49-51, 53-57, 60-66, along with roughly 115 different stamps ranging from 1865 to 1899. The collection continues with a mixture of mint and used singles and sets, with the vast majority of stamps mint and never hinged post 1960 (sparsely filled after 1980). Owner's Scott catalogue for the collection totals $8,129 (up to 1977 only), making this a wonderful lot for Spain and worldwide collectors, and should be continued in these quality albums. Online photos show the first 40 pages only, a few faults with a few early issues, overall fine to very fine. Estimate =
