Two better used QV Schilling items, including a full example of the 1847 1/- with a "723" numeral cancel (Southampton), with just a tiny notch out of the upper right corner. The second is a piece from a letter with two pairs of the 1/- #28 from 1856 with a "46 in diamond" cancel (Banbury). The piece is falling apart a bit and there is an interesting flaw on one of the stamps, as it looks almost hole punched, despite being in the middle of the piece (probably when the stamp was first attached ). Of note, the original cover this piece came from (4/- rate letter) would have really been something! Total 2024 Scott US$2600.00 =
