The 1906 "Scenery" issue was produced with a series of "compound" perforations, where sheets were divided up with line perforators of differing gauges, in seemingly random patterns. This resulted in stamps that had two or three different perforations on each side. These are listed in Michel and Scott Specialized and pose an interesting collecting challenge. This lot includes an assortment of values from seven different perforation combinations, ranging from three values up to a complete set of 16 of the "d" series with perforation 12-1/2, 9-1/4, 6-1/2, and denominations up to the 5Kr "Franz Joseph". There are some minor faults, usually associated with some of the large perforations and a few are cancelled to order (catalogue values is the same for mint and used).
