Attractive single-franking example of the 1/2c black Small Queen on circular rate cover, posted to Liverpool NS, backstamped April 28th 1892. A wonderful example of the single use of the 1/2c stamp, being a scarce dated example (as almost all these circular rates are undated, as Post Office regulations only required them to be cancelled only with a grid).
