Solomon Islands # 1/1083, J1/J8

Large stocks from the Solomon Islands are hard enough to find, but this one has more range and depth than we may have ever offered. Starts with King George V issues, including definitives to 5/-, and a few from the "Canoe" and 1935 Jubilee set. The King George VI era has lots of mint and used with values to 10/- including both the definitive and Silver Wedding issues. What makes the QEII material fascinating is that not only is there solid coverage into the 1980’s (and then a bit of scattered later material), is how much used (and often postally used) material there is. Includes better singles such as #39, #83 (used), #103-104, #570-574. All neatly organized on 22 manila stockpages, each identified by Scott numbers and (2013) catalogue values, which are still close to today’s prices. Duplication of up to 10 of a type. Excellent overall condition. Estimate =
