The 1841 Queen Victoria "Penny Red" imperforate on blue paper, an intriguing lot of 112 used examples. A perfect study group, there are some beautiful singles, many numeral or "Maltese Cross" cancels. Great opportunity for plate reconstruction. Multiples include three pairs and one strip of four. Two are on piece, the balance is off paper. Going through the Stanley Gibbons could be a worthwhile exercise as there is significant shade and paper colour gradients.
