Beautiful page of mint stamps from this New Zealand-administered British Pacific colony. The 19th century Queen Takau and Torea (bird) issues are far fresher than normally seen. There are some overprints on New Zealand issues, including a couple of postal fiscals, and there is many denominations from the various "Cook" sets (with its different designs and perforations), including the 1935 Silver Jubilee overprints. Better singles include: #12, 35, 43, 104. Bonus item is a vignette on proof paper in black from #76, not counted in the catalogue value. 2024 Scott US$495.30 =
