Canadian Poet Pauline Johnson. Select mini collection of sought-after items related to the renowned Canadian. Emily Pauline Johnson, also known by her Mohawk stage name Tekahionwake, was a Canadian poet, author, and performer who was popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This lot contain 32 mint stamps (mostly in blocks), a private cachet FDC (unusual design), three different views of the Monument dedicated to Johnson in Vancouver's Stanley Park (from ca1922 when dedicated), an unused card featuring a copy of a painted portrait and lastly, a cover from Spences Bridge BC 1912 sent to E.H.C Johnson c/o the Indian Office, Brantford (Evelyn Johnson was Pauline’s sister as well as an established poet in her own right).
