Well organized and researched mounted study of the 1898 issue 2c Xmas Map stamp, assembled to show the difficulty the printers had in aligning the three separate colours (red for British Colonies, black for the frame/continents and lavender/grey/blue for the oceans). The study consists of 42 stamps in total (8 mint Hinged, 34 used). The collector has indicated the direction of mis-alignment with a small arrow adjacent to each stamp as well as noting the varying number of Pacific islands on each stamp ("P.I." in red).
