Shades, Papers, Perfs, Postmarks. Neatly laid out selection of 235 used examples of the 1875 to 1888 issue 2c Registration stamp, completely unchecked for shades, postmarks, papers, perfs or plate varieties. Note shades ranging from light orange to deep rose carmine. As the Registration stamps were issued during the same period as the later Large Queen and Small Queen issues, the papers, inks and perforating machinery, they have an interesting commonality that is appreciated by the collectors of early Canada. Of particular interest are the wide range and variety of fancy cork and other postmarks. Many are identifiable and a worthy study all on their own. All the stamps in this lot have been valued as the basic #F1 as per Scott catalogue. A great research lot! 2024 Scott US$874.50 =
