New Zealand

Extensive collection of mint and used New Zealand in 3 hingeless PALO albums with slipcases, 1874-2001. This neatly organized collection contains a few thousand stamps, including mint and or used singles, sets, partial sets, souvenir sheets, and more. The collection begins with primarily used stamps up to 1920, with a mixture of mint and used material from 1920 up to 1930's, with the overwhelming majority of mint material thereafter. A spot check indicated a few pre-1900 stamps cataloguing $20 and up, noting just a few better items with Scott #s 145-159 (mix of mint and used, c.v. $238 total, counted as used), 165-170 (mh, $90 total), 288-301 (lh, $179 total), 333-352 (lh, $80 total), 382-404 (lh, $76 total), B3-B4 (nh, $200 total, ownership mark on reverse), along with a few singles and sets cataloguing $20 and up. This extensive collection also includes semi-postal health sets complete from 1957 to 1975, along with airmails (C1, C4-C8, mh, $115 total), life insurance, officials, officially sealed, underprints, several hundreds of dollars of face value material, and a stockbook with mint and used Cook Islands, Christmas Island, and Ross Dependency. A terrific lot for the New Zealand, Commonwealth, or worldwide collector. We note a few faults with some of the early used stamps, otherwise a very clean collection, overall fine to very fine.
