Duo of early fold-out 1900’s "Postage Stamp Collections" which were sold (largely) to tourists arriving by steamship to Japan and China around the turn of the 19th century. These fanciful part-stamps, part art assemblies contain a mix of both legitimate stamps / stationery and forged / replica stamps dating back to the first issues. The first folder contains 3 postal stationery postcards and 20 stamps, the second contains 4 postal stationery postcards and 34 stamps. A few stamps have fallen off over the decades, but most are firmly pasted in-place. If the stamps were all legitimate, these would add up significantly in catalogue value. While the stamps / forgeries could likely be removed with minimal damage, these are best enjoyed for the philatelic art they are. Estimate =
