Canadian Provinces - Newfoundland #J7, J7i, J7ii. Mint Never Hinged half-pane of 50 of the 10c postage due, issued just before Newfoundland joined Confederation. Distinct for its perforation and watermarked paper, this issue is also noted for having two varieties listed in Unitrade, but not Scott. In position 28 is the "Postage Lue" variety and in position 96 is "period after Due". Both varieties are very distinct. The 50 stamps are centered a touch high, and although the gum is Never Hinged, it does have the usual "cracking" for that issue. A very nice showpiece for any Newfoundland collection. Catalogued by Scott as 50 regular stamps, with no premium for the pane / varieties. 2023 Scott US$875.00 =
