Great Britain #3.
The 1841 Queen Victoria "Penny Red" imperforate on blue paper. A terrific study lot of 112 used examples (including a few pairs and a strip of 4), noting some nice 4 margin singles, "Maltese Cross" cancels, and more. Two are on piece, with the balance off paper. A nice lot for the specialist as there could be significant shade and paper colour gradients. Better than average condition, but some faults to be expected. 2026 Scott US$3,640.00 =
