Monaco #C48 Block Royalty Autographed #C48 block. VF mint NH lower left corner block of four of the 1956 issue 500 franc airmail commemorating the April 19th Royal Wedding of Prince Rainier and Grace Kelly. The block has been autographed by both Rainier and Kelly in the selvedge as "Rainier Prince de Monaco" and "Pcsse Grace de Monaco". The block comes with the original provenance notes. This particular piece represents an exceptional addition to any Monaco collection as well as an eye-popping showpiece highlight in any royalty topical exhibit. Online research indicates that items similar to this (Rainier/Grace signed covers) retail for well over $1,000.00. This block is actually (IMHO) a superior piece compared with anything similar that I was able to find being offered for sale. Retail $1,500.00 $1,400 $1,300 $1,200 $1,100 $1,000 $900
