Canada #325/747a plus NFLD. Mint Sheet Madness! A trio of mint sheet files, filled with a wide-array of mint sheets, partial sheets, Newfoundland a smattering of used multiples! Other notable sheets include 1957 UPU Congress (15c), Provincial Flowers, QEII Karsh, Earth Sciences etc. Very conservatively valued for the face value alone, but certainly worth more. Canada #452/689. Mega Mint Holding. A lovely mint Never Hinged holding / stock of 1962-1976 Canadian stamps, including many plate blocks, multiples, varieties etc. Housed on 30 vario stockpages, within a binder, we noted many better items such as "Cello Paks", paper florescence, booklets, EXPO 70', mid/high value definitives and the 1975/1976 Olympic high-values. Cataloged by the previous owner, using only the lowest value given, so plenty of upside to the valuation count. Owner's Unitrade = $5,263.40

Canada #582/585p. Mint Accumulation. Canada’s first sheetlet, the Geological Congress issue confused collectors. Some stuck with single stamps, others with plate blocks and some with the sheetlet of 16. By the time they realized how many copies the average collector would need, the issue was off sale and prices almost immediately began to rise. This lot of six stockpages has a mix of complete mint never hinged sheetlets of 16, in both the regular and "tagged" version. 20 "philatelic" sheetlets in total, plus about 100 blocks of four and 20 inscription blocks. 2024 Unitrade = $1,750.00

Suffice to say, due to the high original cost, no many collectors put these full sheets away. Valued as a matched set of inscription blocks, plus 9 singles per sheet, but should be worth more! 2024 Unitrade = $319.00
History

118
Canada #1181, 1182, 1183. VF mint Never Hinged complete sheet the $1.00 Runnymede Library, $2.00 McAdam Railway Station and $5.00 Bonsecours Market of the 1989-1990 Architecture high-value definitives. This might be the first time we have seen all three sheets together, often neglected due to the high face value, or missing the $5.00 value (which was issued over a year after the $1/$2 values). A great find. Face value alone is $200.00. 2024 Unitrade = $612.00

Canada #1534ii. VF mint NH quartet (pair and two singles) of the unissued 1992 Xmas 52c rate stamp. A very rare modern variety. 2024 Unitrade = $800.00
History

122
Canada #2405i. The seldom offered $10.00 "Blue Whale" Uncut press sheet of 9 panes of 2 of the $10.00 engraved wildlife definitive in original tube. This October 2010 issue is the highest value even released by Canada Post, with the uncut press sheet offered at the time of issue at a whopping $180.00. With only 1,000 printed these sold out quickly and are one of the hardest uncut sheets to find. 2024 Unitrade = $400.00

Extremely rare private cachet First Day Cover of the recalled 2015 issue "Wrong Hoodoo" $8.60 souvenir sheet containing one $1.20 "Wrong Hoodoo" stamp (#2844a) with cachet produced in Kelowna BC. The souvenir sheet on FDC is FAR AND AWAY the key Hoodoo item. The souvenir sheet itself has consistently sold for over catalogue value and the Official Canada Post issued FDC has a 2024 Unitrade catalogue value of $650.00 and this arguably just as (if not more) uncommon. Estimate = $250.00

British Commonwealth - Group of roughly 225 British Commonwealth first day covers, generally ranging from the 1970's to the early 2000's, with better representation from Australia, New Zealand and area, Great Britain, British Virgin Islands, and a few others. We note singles, several sets, souvenir sheets, gutter blocks (roughly 30 from Australia with Tasmania postmarks), and high denomination frankings. A nice group of covers for collectors and dealers alike. Estimate =

British Commonwealth - Mostly British Atlantic material, with a touch of Africa. A series of bid board lots, dealer offerings, album fragments etc. Mint, used, classic-era to the 1980’s, with a touch of duplication. We saw lots of Falkland Islands (with some "Dependencies"), St. Helena, British Guiana, Guyana and three pages with South Africa, Rhodesia, Zanzibar. A surprising amount of this was catalogued at one time, which will add up to several hundred dollars by Scott. Estimate =

British Commonwealth Supplies - Stanley Gibbons "Imperial" Album, 1937 Volume 1, 3rd Edition, for the entire British Empire issues with spaces from 1840 to 1928. A brand new set of volumes covering the time period would retail several hundreds of dollars. Estimate =

Canada #14/334. A high-quality old-time stock of early used Canadian material from 1859 "Cents" to the QEII Karsh issue, arranged on 27 manila pages, withing a binder. Loads of value here, and although the odd fault my be present in the earliest material, overall this is a very clean group. *On our great bidboard page you will notice that we have included a declining clock that displays the time remaining in the sale, subject to the addition of overtime. There is an automatic 3 minute bidding extension if a bid is submitted on any lot within the last 3 minutes on the bidding clock. These time extensions will continue to occur until there is a 3 minute period during which no bidding takes place. We expect overtime with this type of bidding will last two to three hours in extra bidding time. This extra time will allow you to make sure you get the lots you really want to get right away.
