Algeria #1/1041, B1/B106, C1/C22, CB1-CB3, J1/J67, P1-P2. Remarkable used Algerian collector’s holding covering almost 75 years from the French Administration era to the mid-1990’s. All neatly organized and identified on 87 manilla stockpages. What makes this holding special is its completeness, with most issues having 3-20 copies, with very few faults and better individual items throughout, not to mention the nice cancels seen throughout. We specifically noted #32 (x6), #65 (x8) and the only souvenir sheet (#1049). The "back of the book" is strong, noting B12 (x2), B13, B26, B31 (x3), C11 (x3). Thousands of stamps here. Australian Antarctic Territory #L1/L208. One man’s hoard of mint and used AAT up to the 1990’s, neatly sorted onto manila stockpages, and identified and priced by Scott (2014). Nine pages are mint, with 10 sets of L1-7 and 4 sets of L8-L18, with some multiples scattered throughout. The modern has a face value of over AUD$100.00. The used fill up 14 stockpages noting many better singles throughout (L18x4, L76, lots of postally used 1980’s-1990’s, including many complete sets). Bahrain #12/347. Potential-laden used accumulation, ranging from the overprints on Indian King George V issues to overprints on King George VI and Queen Elizabeth issues, plus various post-Colonial definitives issued up to 2000. The 1976-2000 definitives are particularly interesting as Scott lists different printings and perforations, which might be hiding here. Up to 250 of a type, but most are in the 10-30 range. Lots of clean cancels and no obviously faulty stamps noted. For visual presentation, examples of most of the stamps are on a stockpage, the rest are in glassines. Notable singles include #12 (20 copies), #33 (12), #34 (30), #239 (75), #240 (50). These five items alone have a total 2024 Scott catalogue value US$2779.00 = $3,751.65

Includes one of the great British Commonwealth designs, the "Crocodile" on the King George V to 1/- and the complete King George VI set. Basutoland & Bechuanaland Protectorate/Bechuanaland #1/108, J3/J8 and #7/168, J5a/J7. What do these two British Africa colonies have in common besides being located in the Southern part of the continent? Used stamps are generally harder to find than mint, and this is a nice grouping. The Basutoland includes 13 assorted "Crocodile" issues from King George V and VI, plus a 1935 Silver Jubilee set and some postage dues, with a Scott catalogue value US$78.25. The Bechuanaland issues include overprints on British or Cape of Good Hope stamps (we note #88), plus some later "Cattle" and common design issues. A well-organized binder of collector’s duplicates all neatly laid out on manilla stockpages and identified by Scott numbers with older catalogue values. The Pitcairn Islands is a bit more expansive, with a complete first set, a good run of early Elizabethan (#30 mint, #31 used). British Commonwealth - Collection of used British Commonwealth neatly organized in 3 Unisafe stockbooks, containing a few thousand stamps, generally ranging from the 1870s to the 1970s, with material possible on either side of the given range. Each stockbook contains material from particular regions, the first from British Asia with better representation from India, Ceylon, Hong Kong, Malaya and area; the second stockbook holds material from British West Indies and Africa noting K.U.T., Cape of Good Hope and South Africa, Malta,; with the third stockbook containing Channel Islands and Ireland. British East Africa/East Africa and Uganada Protectorate #14b/82, 1/48. These two forerunner colonies of Uganda produced some beautiful stamps. This page includes 23 different mint issues from BEA, starting with the "Sun and Crown" issue, including values to 5 rupees. There are a couple of overprints on Indian stamps and five values from the Queen Victoria and Lions issue. Scott catalogue $246.24, not counting the imperforate single #15a. Algeria #1/1041, B1/B106, C1/C22, CB1-CB3, J1/J67, P1-P2. Remarkable used Algerian collector’s holding covering almost 75 years from the French Administration era to the mid-1990’s. All neatly organized and identified on 87 manilla stockpages. What makes this holding special is its completeness, with most issues having 3-20 copies, with very few faults and better individual items throughout, not to mention the nice cancels seen throughout.
